Salesforce Summer ’26: A Few Highlights Worth Your Attention

Salesforce Summer ’26: A Few Highlights Worth Your Attention

The Salesforce release will be deployed in the first half of June and will bring dozens of changes, from minor backend tweaks to features that will change users’ day-to-day work. We went through the release for you and picked the top highlights worth paying attention to.

What Salesforce Summer '26 Brings for Admins and Business Teams

  • Cleaner Screen Flows by displaying record names instead of system IDs
  • Faster form navigation thanks to new Radio Button Group components
  • Two row-level formulas in a single report without duplicate reports
  • Confirmation messages in flows without building custom components
  • Safer list view sharing without requiring admin permissions
  • Unified brand colors across dashboards and reports, managed from one place

Data Table Enhancement

Until now, tables in Screen Flows couldn’t display the name of the record a field referenced, only the system ID, which tells users nothing. Starting with the Summer release, admins no longer need workarounds. Directly in the table settings, you’ll be able to choose to display records as clickable names. One click and you’re on the record.

Without clean and accessible data, AI is nothing but an expensive generator of nonsense. You need to be clear about where your "source of truth" sits and what sources the agent draws its information from.

Radio Button Group Component

This one is mostly aesthetic but makes forms noticeably cleaner. When a user selects from several options, the old approach used radio buttons or a dropdown, functional but visually dated. The new Radio Button Group component displays choices as tidy, side-by-side clickable buttons. The form looks cleaner, and users find their way around it faster.

2 Row-Level Formulas

Salesforce reports previously allowed only one row-level formula. Anyone needing to track multiple metrics at once had to create a duplicate report with a different calculation, resulting in bloated report lists and double the work on every update. From June onwards, you can add two row-level formulas to a single report. Time to revisit your reports, consolidate calculations, and tidy things up.

Show Toast Message Action

Previously, displaying a message to users, for example, on successful record creation or an unexpected error (a “toast message”), required building a custom component. Show Toast Message Action now handles this without a single line of code. The admin sets the message directly in the flow, and the user sees it exactly where they’d expect it as a standard Salesforce notification.

Manage List View Sharing

If you wanted to let certain users share their own list views with others, you previously had to grant them permissions to manage all list views across the entire app. The new Manage Shared List Views permission layer solves this. A team lead or power user can share list views with selected users without gaining the ability to manage all list views. Admins grant only the rights that are actually needed.

Brand Color Palettes

Dashboards and reports used to rely on Salesforce’s default color schemes, or colors had to be changed manually on each report or dashboard. The result was an inconsistent visual that didn’t always reflect company branding. Brand Color Palettes lets you define a company color palette in one place; admins can then apply it across reports and dashboards without having to redefine it every time.

Conclusion

Salesforce Summer ’26 brings improvements that streamline work for both admins and business teams. Cleaner flows, more practical reports, and simpler permission management all save time in day-to-day Salesforce use.
